Day 20

There is one question the world asks, but never wants the answer to; Is there really a God? It is a question designed to ease the conscious or dismiss sinful behavior. It's almost as if they believe as long as I am not sure if there is a God, then I won't have to answer to him. Let me rephrase the question for those that have ever wondered. The real question isn't if there is a God, because nature itself gives us that answer.

"The heavens proclaim the glory of God.The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world.God has made a home in the heavens for the sun." Psalm 19:1-4

The real question is "Do you know God?" The answer to that question depends in large part on whether or not we want to.

And Pharaoh said, “Who is the Lord, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the Lord, nor will I let Israel go.” Ex. 5:2

There is a difference between becoming acquainted with God because you have a hungry heart, and getting to know Him because you have an obstinate heart. Just ask Paul. His obstinate heart blinded Him (literally) of his actions. But his hungry heart caused him to pursue Christ with a passion.

"I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back."

Philippians 3:12MSG

May the questions of our hearts always cause us to pursue Him, the way He has pursued us.
