Day 4 - Do Not Enter

READ Proverbs 4

“Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of the evil. Avoid it; do not go on it; turn away from it and pass on.” Proverbs 4:14-15

In Proverbs 4, God is waving a big ‘DO NOT ENTER’ sign in front us, not because he wants us to have no fun, but because he loves us.

Perhaps you have been flirting with temptation or entertaining sinful desires. Keep moving; don’t slow down for sin or stop to look at it…instead, avoid it at all costs! Sin always takes you further than you wanted to go and keeps you for longer than you wanted to stay. If you are standing dangerously close to the path of sin, make a decision today to turn away from it and not to walk on that path. God has better plans for you, so keep moving.

Be honest with God today about an area in your life where you are teetering too close to the edge of sin, and talk to a friend or volunteer about this so that they can help you!

PRAY and ask God to give you the strength to turn away from that temptation and get closer to Jesus.
