Day 6 - Summertime

READ Proverbs 6

“Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter” Proverbs 6-8.

The summer gives us an opportunity to relax and enjoy the vacation – but not to be lazy. Just as the ants use their summer to prepare for the winter, so too can we use our summer to prepare for the future ahead of us. Sleeping in, lying beside the pool, or watching movies aren’t bad things, but let’s not spend all of our time doing things that add no value to our future.

Think about something you could do during the summer to prepare for the future God has for you. Perhaps it is reading the Bible, opening up in a small group, spending time with your family, or joining a gym…whatever the case, put your hands – and your time – to good use this summer!

PRAY ask God to give you the idea and the motivation to follow through with whatever you need to do this summer.
