Day 29 - Safe & Sound

READ Proverbs 29

“The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe.” - Proverbs 29:25

Whether you choose to believe it or not, the world we live in is not safe. Satan is out to kill, steal, and destroy you, and will use culture and peer pressure from everyone around you (fearing man) to do so.

Fearing man seems the safe move. It seems like if we just “go with the flow” and do what's cool that we will not have any problems or trouble. In fact the opposite is true. The most dangerous and unsafe thing we can do is fear man because man will take us to dark sinful places we said we would never go.

God makes it clear that we are safe with Him. All we have to do is follow Jesus and trust Him. There will be people that think that is stupid and disagree, but trusting Jesus is better than being trapped fearing man. Have you put your trust and hope in Jesus? Do you know what real safety feels like?

PRAY “Jesus I trust you. Only you can keep me safe, so I will follow you. Amen”
