Day 7 - Wrong Place, Wrong Time

READ Proverbs 7

“I saw some naive young men, and one in particular who lacked common sense. He was crossing the street near the house of an immoral woman, strolling down the path by her house. It was at twilight, in the evening, as deep darkness fell.” Proverbs 7:7-9

It’s hard enough not to give in to sexual temptations as a young man or woman…it’s ten times harder when you put yourself around the temptation at night. The young man in this proverb was walking by the house of the immoral woman at twilight and, not surprisingly, gave into temptation.

One way that we get stuck in a sin cycle is by putting ourselves in bad situations. Don’t put yourself in a situation (particularly at night) where it will be difficult for you to say no to the temptation. Avoid sin by avoiding the temptation.

Other times we find ourselves in these situations where we didn't see the temptation coming and all of the sudden it's there. In those moments, RUN from sexual sin. Get out of there! Call a friend, whatever you have to do to.

PRAY and ask God to help you, and give you wisdom and strength to walk in His paths and avoid these temptations!
