Our Pastors
Rick and Debbie McNeely were married on October 2, 1981. On August 16, 1983 they would welcome their first child into the world with open arms, Bethany Carroll . Two years later saw the addition of another child, October 26, 1985 Jonathan Michael would join the family and the adventure was just about to begin. In May of 1991 this family of four would take a step of faith and begin their full time journey as missionary-evangelists. For the next 21 years they would travel across the globe taking the good news of the gospel and teaching people that God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
Rick and Debbie have always believed in a hands on approach to building the kingdom of God, these are values they have instilled in their children and grandchildren. In June of 2012, Rick and Debbie found themselves in Murphysboro, IL at Christ Community Church helping a wonderful group of people with their search for a Pastor. What happened over the next several months would change everything.
Today Rick and Debbie McNeely serve as Lead Pastors for Christ Community Church and bring the same passion to Murphysboro as they have to individuals all around the world, encouraging everyone they see to embrace the journey before you by living with purpose and passion and reminding them, God is not looking for your ability but rather your availability.

We Believe
Father God
God is the great I AM. The creator of ALL things and that He is a great and mighty God. He loves us, He cares for us, and He sent his son Jesus for us.

His Son Jesus
We believe that He sent His son Jesus as an atoning sacrifice for our sins and that Jesus was crucified on the cross and rose again on the Third day and sits at the right hand of God. He is our Savior.

The Holy Spirit
We believe when Christ was crucified God sent His Holy Spirit to all who profess that Jesus is Lord. The Holy Spirit is God's power at work on Earth.

The Resurrection
We believe that the son of God, Jesus was crucified and died on a cross for our sins and was resurrected on the third day. He LIVES again and is the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Luke 24:6-7
Salvation
We believe Christ was crucified and died for our sins and rose again on the third day. And that no one comes to the father except through Him.

Baptism
We believe baptism in the name of Jesus forgives sins and brings the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is a proclamation to your faith in Christ.

Communion
We believe partaking in communion is a time of reflection on sin and Christs sacrifice. We partake once per month as a church body on the first Sunday.

We believe the Bible is the infallible word of God. It will not fail, it is trust worthy and sharper than any two edges sword.

Healing
We believe that healing is alive today as ever before! We witness many miracles in our church. God is in the healing business.

We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and encourage the development and use of those gifts.

We believe that God's promises are eternal and irrevocable and we can depend on them. His word does not return void.
